AJAHSBEAUTYBASE BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By booking or purchasing from Ajahs Beauty Base, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Payments
1.1 We do not accept cash payments. All payments must be made via our card machine or other approved electronic methods.
1.2 Payment must be made in full at the start of the appointment and cleared before services begin.
1.3 By booking, you authorise Ajahs Beauty Base to charge the card on file for any outstanding balances, including missed appointment fees or late cancellation charges.
2. Deposits
2.1 A £25 non-refundable deposit is required for all bookings.
2.2 This secures your appointment and will be deducted from your final balance.
2.3 Deposits are non-transferable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.4 If Ajahs Beauty Base is unable to carry out the service, your deposit will be refunded in full unless you prefer to reschedule.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
3.1 Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 48 hours before your appointment.
3.2 Cancellations made within 48 hours will result in your deposit being forfeited, and your card on file may be charged the remaining balance.
3.3 Repeated cancellations (more than 2 within 6 months) may result in refusal of future bookings.
4. Lateness & No-Shows
4.1 A 10-minute grace period is allowed.
4.2 If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may be cancelled and 50% of the service cost will be charged.
4.3 Failure to attend without notice (“no-shows”) will result in your card on file being charged the full remaining balance and may lead to refusal of future bookings.
5. Hair Preparation
5.1 We do not braid freshly permed hair.
5.2 Hair must be at least 4 inches long, clean, washed, detangled, and stretched (blow-dried) with no oils before your appointment.
5.3 We do not offer wash services. Clients arriving with unprepared hair may face rescheduling, additional fees, or cancellation with the balance still due.
6. Service Duration & Breaks
6.1 Stylists are entitled to a 20-minute break for appointments over 3 hours (up to 6 hours) and a 30-minute break for services lasting over 6 hours.
6.2 Short rest breaks may also be taken to maintain service quality. Breaks are factored into the appointment time and do not affect the outcome.
7. Aftercare & Maintenanc
7.1 Aftercare advice will be provided following your appointment.
7.2 Ajahs Beauty Base is not responsible for results affected by failure to follow aftercare or the use of unapproved products.
7.3 Clients are advised to:
- Moisturise the scalp.
- Sleep with a satin scarf/bonnet.
- Avoid excessive product build-up.
7.4 Braid longevity depends on hair type, lifestyle, and maintenance. AJ’s Beauty Base is not responsible for premature loosening caused by improper aftercare.
8. Refunds & Corrections
8.1 Refunds are not offered once braids or styles have been installed and confirmed satisfactory at the appointment.
8.2 If you believe there is a fault with the service, you must notify us within 24 hours by emailing ajahsbeautybasecustomerservice@gmail.com with photo evidence.
8.3 Corrections may be offered at the stylist’s discretion and are not guaranteed.
8.4 corrections will not be offered if dissatisfaction arises from:
- Aftercare neglect.
- Failure to follow preparation requirements.
- Change of personal preference.
9. Service Expectations & Results Disclaimer
9.1 Results vary depending on hair type, condition, and maintenance.
9.2 Ajahs Beauty Base does not guarantee identical results to reference images shown.
9.3 It is the client’s responsibility to provide accurate information about their hair history.
10. Children’s Services
10.1 We only provide services to children who are able to sit through the appointment.
10.2 If a child experiences significant discomfort, we reserve the right to stop the service. Additional charges may apply.
10.3 A parent/guardian must confirm they are satisfied with the service at the end of the appointment.
11. Photography & Media
11.1 All photos and videos taken by Ajahs Beauty Base are the property of Ajahs Beauty Base.
11.2 By booking an appointment, you consent to the use of photos and videos for promotional purposes, unless you notify us in writing prior to your service.
12. Service Refusal
12.1 Ajahs Beauty Base reserves the right to refuse service for hygiene, health, or safety reasons.
12.2 Patch testing is the client’s responsibility. Ajahs Beauty Base is not liable for reactions if patch testing has not been carried out.
13. Staff Substitution
13.1 While we aim to honour your preferred stylist, Ajahs Beauty Base reserves the right to assign another qualified team member if your stylist is unavailable due to illness or emergencies.
13.2 Deposits will remain valid and transferable to the new stylist.
14. Promotions & Discounts
14.1 Discounts, offers, or promotions cannot be combined unless otherwise stated.
14.2 Ajahs Beauty Base reserves the right to withdraw or amend promotions at any time.
14.3 Deposits for discounted services remain non-refundable.
15. CCTV & Security
15.1 Ajahs Beauty Base premises are monitored by CCTV for the safety of clients and staff.
16. Trainee Stylists
16.1 From time to time, trainees may be present under full supervision.
16.2 Clients will be informed prior to their appointment if a trainee will be involved in their service.
17. Medical Emergencies
17.1 In the event of a medical emergency during your appointment, Ajahs Beauty Base staff may seek immediate medical assistance.
17.2 Clients are responsible for any costs associated with emergency treatment.
18. International or Offsite Bookings
18.1 Services provided outside of Ajahs Beauty Base salon (e.g. travel bookings or pop-ups) are subject to separate travel fees and terms.
18.2 Deposits for travel appointments are strictly non-refundable.
18.3 Ajahs Beauty Base is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by flight, transport, or customs issues.
19. Damage Disclaimer
19.1 Ajahs Beauty Base stylists take every precaution to protect your natural hair and scalp.
19.2 However, we cannot be held responsible for damage caused by previous chemical treatments, excessive heat use, or neglect between appointments.
20. Pricing & Policy Updates
20.1 All prices are subject to change without notice.
20.2 Pricing may vary depending on stylist, hair length, style complexity, or additional services required.
20.3 The most up-to-date pricing and Terms will always be displayed on our booking platform.
20.4 Ajahs Beauty Base reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time.
21. Digital Waiver Agreement
21.1 By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
21.2 You consent to Ajahs Beauty Base retaining your booking details and digital agreement as proof of acceptance.
21.3 This agreement acts as a binding waiver, releasing Ajahs Beauty Base from liability for:
- Allergic reactions where patch testing has not been carried out by the client.
- Damage caused by prior chemical treatments, heat damage, or neglect.
- Dissatisfaction due to personal preference, unrealistic expectations, or failure to follow preparation/aftercare guidelines.
21.4 By confirming your booking, you digitally sign this waiver and agree to all terms outlined.
